Vanilla Ice Cream in a Baggie

(A great project to do with the kids! What a science project!)

Serving Size: 3 servings

1 quart freezer bag, zip type
1 gallon freezer bag, zip type
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Fill half the gallon-sized bag with cubed or crushed ice; add 6 tablespoons salt to the ice.

Mix the milk, sugar and vanilla in the 1 quart freezer bag and zip closed. Place it inside the larger bag; zip closed. Squish and shake for about 5 minutes or until the ice cream thickens.
